BEDFORD— The annual Limestone Heritage Festival Parade will once again bring color, excitement, and community pride to downtown Bedford on Saturday, June 28. The parade will step off at 6:30 p.m., with entries lining up at the corner of 15th and M streets before proceeding along 16th Street and circling the downtown square.

Dan Bortner, a Bedford native and recently retired director of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal. Bortner spent two decades with the DNR, including 15 years as head of Indiana State Parks, before being appointed as director in 2020.

Hosted as part of the larger Limestone Heritage Festival, the parade celebrates Bedford’s rich limestone history and serves as a highlight of summer festivities in Lawrence County. Crowds
