NEW ORLEANS — Three of the four teens as he was helping his mother out of his vehicle have pleaded guilty to the charges on Friday.
Ahmad Seals, Santana Gilmore, Dijohn Curtis, and Amajha Curtis are each facing three counts of armed robbery and are being tried as adults for the October 2023 carjacking.
Ahmad Seals pleaded not guilty while Santana Gilmore, Dijohn Curis, and Amajha Curtis pleaded guilty. Seals will go to trial on October 27. The other teens will also be sentenced on that date.
They could each face up to 99 years in prison.
The charges stem from a carjacking that took place around 10 p.m. near Race and Constance streets in the Lower Garden District. Authorities say Williams and his mother were not injured, and the stolen vehicle was later recovered.
