A fatal collision involving multiple vehicles and a pedestrian shut down northbound Highway 101 at the interchange with Interstate 280 in San Francisco for about two hours early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported around 5:15 a.m. and was blocking northbound lanes of Highway 101 as well as the connector ramp to Highway 280.

The lanes reopened as of about 7:15 a.m. More details about the collision were not immediately available from the CHP.
