Abdul Khan, MD, has been appointed CEO of Ochsner River Region, part of New Orleans-based Ochsner Health. In his new role, Dr. Khan will oversee facilities across Louisiana, including Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner, Ochsner Medical Complex-River Parishes in LaPlace and St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling, according to a June 5 health system news release.

Dr. Khan first joined Ochsner in 2008 as an internal medicine resident. He rejoined in 2015 as a senior pulmonary disease and critical care physician and has held several leadership roles, most recently serving as regional medical director of South Shore community hospitals and the Bayou region.
