FLINT, MI - A new exhibition at the Flint Institute of Arts is putting tattoo culture in the spotlight with MI Ink: The Art of Tattoos, a creative display of tattoo artistry.

The exhibition, that is currently running through Sunday, Aug. 31, celebrates the evolution of tattooing from its once-marginalized status to a widely recognized form of fine art.

Featuring the work of more than 30 tattoo artists from across Michigan, MI Ink explores the creative diversity of styles and mediums - from traditional flash designs and striking body art photography to paintings, drawings, and ceramics.
