POTTSTOWN — Five days after his body was pulled from the Schuylkill Rive r by rescuers, the Montgomery County Coroner’s office has released the identity of the man who drowned in a boating accident Sunday night.

The man who died has been identified as 26-year-old Sean Patrick Hagerty. According to his obituary , Hagerty was from Dresher, Upper Dublin, Montgomery County.

“The coroner has determined the cause of death to be drowning and the manner of death is classified as an accident,” according to a press release issued by the coroner’s office Friday morning.

“The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Hagerty’s family and loved ones,” wrote Coroner Janine Darby.

The search of the river began shortly after the first report came in at about 8:45 p.
