OKLAHOMA CITY — By 2034, Oklahomans 65 and older will outnumber children. To ensure that this growing demographic of older Oklahomans get the 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each week needed to reduce the risk of many diseases, Oklahoma Human Services has launched Aging Our Way Oklahoma, a campaign reminding older adults of the power of movement.

Regular exercise reduces the risk of chronic diseases including dementia, heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers, according to the CDC.
