HENDERSON, Neb. (KSNB) - A man was arrested after attempting to burglarize a public pool in Henderson Wednesday night, deputies said.

Joseph Regner, 56, of Bradshaw was arrested and lodged at the York County Jail on a handful of burglary and drug charges.

At approximately 9:12 p.m., deputies were called to assist the Henderson Police Department for a report of a burglary in progress at the Henderson Aquatic Center, located near 10th and Birch streets.

After arriving on scene, deputies said Regner was located inside the Aquatic Center, and an attempt to detain him was made. Regner resisted arrest and began to fight with deputies but was eventually apprehended, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
