The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 44-year-old Taylorsville man for robbery and assault on Friday.

Christopher Edward Bryck was charged with one count of robbery with a deadly weapon and one count of assault by pointing a gun, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

The sheriff’s office responded to a call of shots being fired at an occupied residence at about 1 a.m. Friday. No one was injured and the shots did not enter the residence, the sheriff's office said. Those in the residence identified Bryck as the shooter.

Bryck was having a property dispute and fired his gun three times, the sheriff's office said. They also said he stole property.

Bryck was being held at the Alexander County Detention Center Friday morning. His bond was set at $125,000.
