FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — DJ Shouse, a local basketball trainer for kids, was live in the studio with David and Jen to talk about his new children's book series, Benny the Beast.

DJ published a total of five books that he said all have the same mission: to motivate.

Shouse grew up in Terre Haute, and as a young boy, he fell in love with the game of basketball. His dedication to the sport inspires many.

According to the Beast Training website, DJ is the youngest of five children. He played basketball in high school, college, and at the semi-pro level.

DJ now uses his passion for basketball to make a positive impact on his community, and through his new book series, he hopes to reach those around the world.
