WHITEWATER, Wisc. − The UW-Whitewater campus was filled with cheers, hugs, and plenty of pride as the 2025 NCAA Division III national champion Warhawk baseball team returned home after one of the most dominant performances in tournament history.

Following a lengthy delay in Chicago traffic, the team arrived on campus to a crowd of fans, family, and friends eager to celebrate their historic run. The Warhawks had just clinched the program’s third national title with a commanding 21-5 victory over Messiah (Pennsylvania) in Eastlake, Ohio.

“I don’t know if you call it karma or you look up to the skies,” says Head Coach John Vodenlich, “But you know, we felt pretty good about it all year.”
