The Maine high school state championships for outdoor track are being delayed due to another round of bad weather forecasted for this weekend.
A rainy spring had already been tormenting high school athletic directors and athletes alike as they tried to finish out their regular season schedules. And now the state outtrack track championships have fallen victim to the same pattern of washed out weekends , with thunderstorms and rain in the forecast for Friday into Saturday.
The Class A, B and C state meets slated for Saturday have been moved to Tuesday, according to the Maine Principals’ Association. More information about locations and other meet details are still to come.
