HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - When the Hastings Sodbusters hit the field for the 2025 season, there was a new face calling the shots in the dugout — though the face was already a familiar one.
Josh Prinner, a former shortstop for the Sodbusters in 2023 and 2024, returned to the team this summer to serve as its new head coach. At just 23 years old, Prinner might be the youngest in the league wearing a manager’s hat, but he’s already turning heads for all the right reasons.
Team president and co-owner Scott Galusha said the decision to hire Prinner wasn’t about scouting resumes — it was about trust.
“The first thing I said to my friends and my wife was I’m not gonna hire anybody I don’t know,” Galusha said.
