HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - Motorists in Daviess County should expect crews to be doing road work over the next three days on KY-54.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet states a contractor plans to start an asphalt resurfacing project next week beginning on the east side of Owensboro.

Officials say almost four miles of roadway will be repaired beginning near Bold Forbes Way to KY-142 in Philpot.

Officials state due to deterioration of asphalt throughout the corridor, crews will be sealing cracks and applying a thin layer of asphalt.

Motorists should look out for work zone signs and flaggers. Work is expected to start on Monday and be concluded by Wednesday.
