Police pursuit
On May 24 shortly before 10 p.m., Hanover police officers attempted to stop a suspect operating a motorcycle at the north end of 12th Avenue in Hanover. The suspect failed to stop for police and fled at a high rate of speed, turning onto the community trail at 14th Street. Shortly after turning onto the community trail, the suspect lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. He continued to flee on foot from the crash site, before being arrested by the pursuing officers a short distance away. A 40-year-old West Grey man was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody, charged with 10 criminal offences that included flight from police, dangerous operation, resisting arrest, wearing a disguise with intent, breach of probation, breach of undertaking and four counts
