Pavement maintenance in Columbia will continue into next week, weather permitting, according to a news release from Columbia Public Works.

The pavement maintenance work was originally scheduled for this week. However, due to weather-related delays, contractors could not begin work until Thursday, and no work will take place Friday, according to the release.

Public Works said progress has been slower than anticipated because cooler temperatures, overcast skies and low wind slow down the product drying and curing.

Updated "No Parking" signs with the revised dates are posted along streets scheduled for treatment, according to the release.
