WOODLAND, Calif. —

Closing arguments are set to take place to determine whether Carlos Reales Dominguez is guilty of killing two men and seriously wounding a woman in Davis during an almost weeklong 2023 crime spree.

The former UC Davis student is standing trial for a series of stabbings that forced the college town to take unusual measures to keep people from being alone at night. Businesses closed early; UC Davis temporarily made evening classes virtual, and the university's student rideshare program expanded its services.
