SHREVEPORT, La. -- C. E. Byrd High School celebrates its 100th anniversary this weekend as alum and country music artists Jordan Davis will perform at a fundraiser concert Friday night.
He, along with the Grandstand Ensemble, which includes fellow former classmates, will take the stage at the historic Louisiana Grandstand.
Louisiana Grandstand owner Stephen Gillum says the building also turns 100 this year.
Mus Gillum, a member of Grandstand Ensemble and Stephen Gillum's brother, will play alongside Jordan Davis. Mus Gillum and Davis were classmates at Byrd High and played guitar together.
Tickets for the concert are already sold out, with an expected crowd of over 400 people.
