Washington - The State Employment and Security Department reported a significant rise in Washington's average annual wage, which grew by 6.8% in 2024, reaching more than $95,000. This increase comes as the average weekly wage rose from $1,714 in 2023 to $1,830 in 2024.

The department stated that the growth was driven by a nearly 1% increase in employment and a 7.5% increase in total wages and salaries, which expanded by $23.5 billion in 2024. This data will be crucial in determining paid leave benefits and unemployment taxes in the state.
