SIOUX CITY -- A group plans to construct a $5 million, 65,000-square-foot multi-sport complex for Siouxland Sports Academy west of Lewis & Clark Park.

The Sioux City Council will be asked Monday to approve a resolution announcing the city's intent to accept Siouxland Developers, LLC's proposal to purchase property at 3400 Line Drive and construct the sports complex, according to city documents.

Siouxland Sports Academy has a press conference scheduled Friday morning in Lewis & Clark Park's left field parking lot. It's main office is currently located at 4501 Southern Hills Drive.
