WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A Carthage man faces multiple charges after a reported break-in in the City of Watertown.
According to Watertown City Police, Alex Arrendell, 29, repeatedly kicked a door at 323 Sterling Street, Apartment 2, forcing it open.
Police say once inside, he stole a knife belonging to the unit’s occupants and threatened two women, ages 20 and 24.
Police say Arrendell pressed the knife against one of the women’s throats and stole her cell phone.
Arrendell reportedly took the knife from the apartment when he left.
Arrendell is charged with:
2 counts of burglary
2nd-degree menacing
5 counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
third-degree robbery
2 counts of petit larceny
2 counts of criminal mischief
