LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after finding over 45 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

Deputies arrested Andres Murillomota, 38, after someone called 911 and reported that a driver on the side of U.S. 441 near Southeast Happy Valley Glen was parked close to the edge of the driving lane.

According to deputies, they smelled a strong odor of alcohol from the vehicle as well as vomit both on the driver and the door.

Deputies say Murillomota allowed them to search the vehicle, where they found two suitcases with over 45 pounds of marijuana.

Murillomota was arrested and sent to the Columbia County Jail.
