GLENMORA, La. (KALB) - A Glenmora police officer and two other suspects have been arrested following an investigation into the shooting and killing of dogs, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.
RPSO said they learned of an animal cruelty complaint on May 25, about two house dogs that were killed and buried on May 21, involving someone with the Glenmora Police Department.
Detectives said the owner of the dogs was going to be away from home for an unknown amount of time. The owner asked a neighbor, Shyana Marie Bordelon, 47, to care for two small house dogs while they were away.
Bordelon and her son, Murray Joseph Gros, 26, tried to have Glenmora Animal Control remove the dogs from the home, but were denied. Animal Control said they did not see any reason to remove the dogs.
