It’s a partly cloudy and steamy end to the workweek across the ArkLaMiss. Highs will top out in the low to mid 90s, with feels-like conditions around 100 degrees. A batch of showers and storms to our north has been showing a weakening trend. However, an outflow boundary ahead of the main activity may spark some showers or storms for parts of our area this afternoon. Strong to marginally severe wind gusts north of I-20 will also be possible. Keep an eye on the radar. Are you going to the Louisiana Peach Festival on Saturday? Please find ways to stay cool and hydrated. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s with hotter feels-like conditions. There is a chance of showers and storms beginning Saturday night through next week. Thanks to the rain, temperatures will be cooler, only reaching the 80s.
