FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) - A company director is heading to trial in Genesee County after a chemical spill in the Flint River.

60-year-old Rajinder Singh Minhas is heading to trial on several felony charges, according to Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Minhas served as the president, treasurer, and director of Lockhart Chemical, a chemical processing facility that manufactured rust-preventative additives for metalworking.

Authorities said 15,000 gallons of an oil-chemical mixture was released from Lockhart’s facility into the Flint River on June 15, 2022, spanning more than 20 miles into the water.
