GRAND BLANC TWP., Mich. (WNEM) – The Grand Blanc Township Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that happened at an intersection in Grand Blanc.

According to the police, the crash occurred at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, on Baldwin Road and Holly Road. An 85-year-old Detroit woman driving a maroon Mazda turned eastbound from Holly Road onto Baldwin Road. She was struck by a 47-year-old Holly man driving a Subaru northbound on Baldwin Road.

The woman died after the crash. The man is in a local hospital and is expected to recover, police said.

“I want to remind the public to be safe out there,” said Grand Blanc Township Police Department Police Chief William Renye. “Drive safe. We need you to help us to keep this community safe. Crashes are preventable.”
