Brother of teen charged in deadly DUI crash has been arrested

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. —

The brother of a teen who was charged in a deadly DUI crash has been arrested, according to a report from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

SLED says Jarod Helms, 18, was arrested in North Carolina and charged with felony death by vehicle while driving under the influence. Detention center records show Jarod Helms was booked into the Union County Detention Center in North Carolina on April 20.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety Alcohol Law Enforcement Division requested that SLED investigate.
