DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - Several fire departments were called to a fire at a boat storage and repair facility in Dakota City, Nebraska.
Dakota City Fire Department, Homer Fire Department and South Sioux City Fire and Rescue responded to Cimmarina Boats on Broadway Street in Dakota City just before 5 a.m. Friday, June 6.
Deputies who were first at the scene said flames were coming from the roof of the facility before firefighters arrived.
Dakota City Fire Department tells KTIV that the fire began in the shop and spread to the attic area, and crews were able to get it under control.
The Fire Marshal has been called to investigate the cause of the fire and crews were working Friday morning to take the roof off the structure for better access to fire and smoke.
