HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - A Hopkinsville man is facing multiple charges after Christian County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop tied to an ongoing investigation.
On June 5, deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street after deputies observed a seatbelt violation. The driver, 35-year-old Justin Thomas Morris, was found to have a stolen vehicle, a handgun, suspected methamphetamine, and materials linked to financial fraud.
According to the sheriff’s office, a K9 unit alerted to narcotics, and a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .380 handgun and fraudulent credit card materials.
Morris, a convicted felon, was also found attempting to discard suspected methamphetamine while in the back of a patrol car.
The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Memphis, Tennessee.
