BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Brazos Valley Food Bank is calling on the community to step up this June as it faces a staggering shortfall of $1.2 million in food donations due to federal budget cuts and ongoing inflation.
In partnership with KBTX, the food bank has launched its Summer Hunger Campaign , with collection sites at Douglass Mazda and Volkswagen in Bryan, Paradowski Law Firm, Aggieland Outfitters, Aggieland Roofing, and all Amarillo National Bank locations. Organizers say the summer months are especially critical, as children who rely on school meals are left without regular access to breakfast and lunch.
