BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Federal prosecutors have charged a Baton Rouge man who reportedly sold a number of fake documents.
A bill of information filed in the Middle District of Louisiana alleges Tommie Hart sold bank statements, check stubs, W-2 Forms, utility bills, and documents purported to be doctors’ excuses.
According to the charging document, Hart also touted years of experience creating documents that could be used to “bypass complex governmental requirements for the acquisition of any travel or identity documents,” including fake passports, driver’s licenses, and counterfeit Social Security cards.
Federal agents allege that Hart reportedly sold at least 6 fake Social Security cards between April and July of 2022, in violation of federal law.
