GALLATIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office reports that a young child’s bravery helped foil a home burglary on Friday morning.
SCSO reports that deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary in progress at a home on Garrison Branch Road.
The caller reported that a man had entered the home and was rummaging through the kitchen cabinets. SCSO said the suspect was interrupted by a child who encountered him in the kitchen.

The child then ran into their bedroom for safety and the suspect ran out of the front door.
“Thanks to the child’s quick thinking and detailed description, deputies and detectives were able to identify a suspect within the hour,” SCSO said. “The suspect was located and brough
