NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Several trains at New Haven Union Station were either delayed or cancelled Friday morning, leading commuters to get on a later train or scramble to find another way to get to their destination.

Ashley Naranjo was at the train station on her way to New Jersey. She’s been trying to get there since Thursday, but experienced some difficulties that were out of her control.

Passengers were told power lines fell on the tracks Thursday near the Southport Metro North Station, causing some delays.

She said she felt annoyed with the situation.
