Raccoon Mountain pumped storage facility

The upgrades made to Raccoon Mountain's pumped storage facility, says TVA, finished its Unit 1 outage, the last in a four-outage series.

Now that the upgrades are complete, Unit 1 will have 25 more megawatts of power. Together, with the other three units, the pumped storage facility gained a total of 100 megawatts, enough to power up to 58,500 more homes.
