BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, S.C. — A 15-year-old is facing multiple counts of attempted murder in connection with a shooting that happened in Batesburg-Leesville weeks earlier.

The Batesburg-Leesville Police Department confirmed the juvenile's arrest following an arrest warrant executed in the 400 block of Willis Street on Thursday. Authorities have charged the teen with six counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and discharging a firearm into a dwelling as a result of a May 10 shooting that left two people wounded on the same street.

While executing the warrant, members of the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team and Crime Reduction Unit also arrested three other adults and a juvenile on charges unrelated to the shooting.
