KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee will consider raising undergraduate tuition for in-state students and raising mandatory fees at its five campuses during its upcoming annual meeting.
The UT Board of Trustees will meet July 1 to discuss the proposals. University President Randy Boyd said the potential increases are part of the university's ongoing efforts to make higher education more affordable and accessible for students.
While no tuition increases are proposed for the UT Knoxville campus, the school has proposed a 2.8% increase to mandatory fees, an additional $64.
