(Jefferson City, MO) — The state of Missouri is sharing details of a summer food program. The program, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, provides meals to children (18 and under) in eligible areas when children do not have access to free and reduced-price meals at school.
Meals are also provided to individuals age 18 to 21 determined by a state or local educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled. Those individuals participate in an established school program for the mentally or physically disabled.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has published an online interactive map listing locations where children can get free meals this summer. The map shows sites where children must sit and eat the meal but also lists rural sites where meal
