Designer and frequent sneaker collaborator Sean Wotherspoon is getting into 3D printed shoes via a new project with Zellerfeld .
The new two-silhouette collection, dubbed “Sean Double U,” features a mule and a sneaker printed entirely from a single recyclable material. Using Zellerfeld’s technology, every pair is made-to-order, custom-fitted through a simple foot scan, and recyclable at the end of its life.
Wotherspoon, who frequently collaborates with Adidas , said in a statement that the new collection is “about the different sides we all have.”
“The sneaker is for motion,” he said. “The mule is for slowing down. I wanted pieces that move with every version of you. Zellerfeld gave me a level of freedom I have never had before, no factories, no waiting, no ceilings on creativity
