Hot and humid with a few showers and thunderstorms through this evening.

The Gulf sea breeze continues to stir up showers and thunderstorms, although with much less coverage than the last couple of days. Thunderstorms may briefly become strong with gusty wind and locally heavy rain. These will wind down around sunset tonight with clearing skies and patchy fog overnight.

The pattern continues this weekend. Scattered showers with storms will develop around noon near and along I-75 and around 2 p.m. near I-95. Strong to isolated severe storms will be possible in southeast Georgia with locally heavy rain and wind remaining as the main hazards.

The unsettled pattern and offshore wind continue through the start of the week.
