GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Hope Harbor is asking for the community’s support after a HVAC software issue is leaving the shelter without air conditioning.

Repairs are underway, but the system is not expected to be operational until early next week. In the meantime, Hope Harbor is asking for immediate support to ensure the safety and comfort of the individuals and families staying with the facility.

The shelter is currently seeking:

40 box fans (new or gently used) to help cool bedrooms and common areas.

Prepared or donated meals to serve up to 60 people per day, reducing use of the kitchen and heat-generating appliances.

Donations can be dropped off at Hope Harbor Shelter, located 610 W. Division St., by ringing the front doorbell.
