A federal judge sided with an Illinois information technology company in a breach-of-contract suit Monday after finding that the company's former business partner failed to disclose any basis for the alleged damages over seven years after the initial disclosure.

U.S. District Court Judge Thomas M. Durkin for the Northern District of Illinois granted Sonrai Systems's summary judgment motion against The Heil, doing business as Environmental Solutions, and Anthony Romano's breach-of-contract counterclaims.
