GREENSBORO — Residents of a home in the 4200 block of Laurel Creek Drive reported gunshots were fired at and into their home early Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for the Greensboro Police Department.

No information is yet available about the type of weapon used, suspects or a motive, but the exterior of the two-story dwelling is well-pocked by what appears as a spray of birdshot on columns, part of the front door and siding near the front door. It remains unclear whether the incident was a targeted or random crime.

An examination of the house from the street shows a window that appears to have been broken by gunfire, as well.

According to an incident report, the couple reported hearing several shots at around 1:15 a.m. and called 911.

No one in the house was injured.
