ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester Police and the Rochester Fire Department blocked off an area near the Ford Street Bridge Friday afternoon as they worked to recover a man in the Genesee River.

Officers told News 8 a man in his 30s fell into the edge of the river and was recovered. RPD noted no malicious intent is suspected.

News 8 crews also noticed the Scuba Team on scene, as well as the Medical Examiner.

Rochester Police confirmed Friday's search was not related to ongoing search for 5-year-old Zy'Jae St. Pierre.
