Anand insists Canada is mulling options with allies for ceasefire in Gaza and more aid

Foreign Minister Anita Anand has insisted that Canada and its allies are considering further options to push for a ceasefire in Israel’s war in Gaza , and increase humanitarian aid to the territory, but she declined to provide details.

After a meeting on Friday in London with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Ms. Anand said both governments were “looking at a variety of options.”

“Ensuring security in the region requires immediate return to a ceasefire in Gaza, all remaining hostages must be released and Hamas can have no future in Gaza,” she added.
