This Saturday, June 7, Greater Tucker Baptist Church on Moore Road is hosting a blood drive to combat rising trauma cases during the summer season.
We are currently in what's called the "100 Deadliest Days of Summer," which occurs between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During this period, trauma cases spike due to summer-related accidents while blood donations often decrease, resulting in a critical need.
From 10:00am to 2:00pm, donors will receive a $20 gift card from Greater Tucker when they donate.
Additionally, those interested can head across the street to Brainerd High School for a free summer health clinic, sponsored by New United MB Church. There will be a number of on-site services available from 10:00am to 2:00pm, including:
