GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced his appointment for the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office on Friday.

McMaster signed an executive order naming Cindy S. Crick to fill the top prosecutor role left following the retirement of longtime solicitor Walt Wilkins.

Crick is a Greenville resident who has led her own law practice since 2020. She previously served as the Chief of Staff for U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy and was the Assistant Solicitor for the 7th Circuit.

She received her juris doctorate from University of South Carolina School of Law.

“Crick will serve until a successor qualifies as provided by law,” the Governor’s release states.
