BLACKMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - A 22-year-old Jackson man is in custody for his apparent role in a shooting that left a 16-year-old in critical condition.
The charges stem from a shooting during the early morning of Wednesday, June 4, in Blackman Township, where a 16-year-old boy was shot in the head. The teen survived but remains in the hospital in serious condition.
The suspect eluded police for nearly two days as officials conducted surveillance. Authorities would locate the suspect at a Jackson apartment complex. A special ‘tactical unit’ executed a search warrant at the complex, where they found the suspect inside.
He was taken into custody without incident. He remains in the Jackson County Jail awaiting charges for the June 4 shooting.
