MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A Wisconsin Girl Scout has officially sold more Girl Scout cookies than any other person in state history.

Molly Lenius has sold 35,598 total boxes of cookies over 13 years, the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Badgerland said.

“As a child, I was very shy,” Lenius said. “Selling cookies helped me get out of my comfort zone and taught me how to talk to strangers.”

The cookie sales have also funded Lenius’s participation in Girl Scout Destinations, which has given the teen the opportunities to travel to places like Costa Rica, Italy and Hawaii.
