Let's start off this week with something that didn't happen: Mayor Mike Doenges did not name an interim recreation superintendent Monday.

Doenges has convened a search committee to find a permanent replacement for Kim Peters, whom he chose not to reappoint after his reelection in March. Doenges said in mid-May he expected to appoint an interim director.
