SAN ANTONIO - A suspect accused of sex crimes involving children has been arrested attempting to cross the southern U.S. border.

Upon inspection, utilizing federal law enforcement databases and biometric verification, officers were able to verify his identity and uncovered a felony warrant for his arrest out of Hidalgo County.

He was arrested at the crossing for an outstanding warrant for indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact, and was handed over to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office.
